Many Native youth face significant challenges—limited resources, lack of mentorship, cultural and spiritual battles, and cycles of hardship. Standing Soldier Ministry steps into the gap with love, consistency, and Christ-centered guidance, offering encouragement, belonging, and hope.

Mission Statement

Standing Soldier Ministry exists to raise Soldiers for Christ on the reservations of South Dakota through the power of sports and mentorship. We are committed to teaching young men and women what it means to stand boldly for Truth and Righteousness, equipping them to shine as lights in the midst of darkness. Through faith, discipline, and community, we aim to inspire a generation to walk in purpose, integrity, and unwavering devotion to Christ.

Our Goals

At Standing Soldier Ministry, our goal is to provide meaningful opportunities for student-athletes to grow—both in their athletic abilities and in their character.

We do this by offering:

• High-level training and development through practices, camps, leagues, and tournaments
• Access and exposure for talented student-athletes who may be overlooked due to limited resources
• Supportive mentorship for youth who lack consistent parental or spiritual guidance

Many of the young athletes we serve face financial hardship, unstable home environments, or are being raised by grandparents or extended family members. Our mentorship program exists to fill that gap with a firm, caring, and consistent voice that guides each athlete toward excellence—on and off the field.

We believe that with encouragement, structure, discipleship, and faith, these young men and women can overcome barriers that hold many back. We desire to help every student-athlete become more than a conqueror through Christ—walking in victory, purpose, and the confidence of being deeply loved and called by God.

Vision Statement

Our vision is to see a generation of young warriors for Christ rise from the reservations of South Dakota—strong in faith, character, and purpose. Through the platform of sports, we aim to transform lives and communities by developing leaders who embody Truth, stand for Righteousness, and bring light to the darkest places.

We envision a future where athletic excellence and spiritual strength are united. A legacy where young men and women overcome adversity, break cycles of hopelessness, and lead others to the life-changing hope found in Jesus Christ.
